#REIMAGINE 2018
Finding a New Social Contract: Digital Transformation, Universal Basic Income, and Social Innovation

REIMAGINE 2018 is an international conference to discuss and debate new ideas for social change and how we can make the idea into a feasible plan. We will introduce various cash transfer plans including Universal Basic Income. Korea’s state-level mayor will join the discourse and share their lesson-learned. Innovation supporters from the government and the civil sector will also speak on how innovation can change the society. The Value of policy experiments will be also discussed.
Digital Era - Opportunity or Threat?

Technology transforms the whole industrial scene.

More of capital-concentrated works and tech-oriented tasks.

Less of labor-intensive works and routine tasks.

There are winners and losers. Digital transformation has enabled a few individuals and companies to acquire unprecedented wealth. Yet, digital transformation also generates immense economic and social disparities in terms of the wealth, income, and job security. Marginalized people who failed to adjust to the new rule of game, become more vulnerable and being left out.

The society calls for the new social, economic, and political paradigm.

Audacious ideas, plans and policies should be suggested and discussed.

Let’s reimagine the brave new world.

How can we change the upcoming Fourth Industrial Revolution era to the new era of opportunities, not the era of threats?

How can we build a sustainable society where all the people are winners? How can we shore up human dignity under the new circumstances?
